2026 Brussels Flower Carpet. We went to this famous event in the mid of August. This year’s flower carpet was designed to show the very famous 1831 Japanese woodblock print, The Great Wave off Kanagawa. The installation utilized over 750,000 dahlias grown locally in Belgium. The flower carpet was displayed at the very city center of Brussels, the Grand Place, right in front the historical City Hall built in 15th century.
