Had no idea that the Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada was such a unique and beautiful place until we camped down and started exploring. It is the oldest state park for Nevada and it's only about 50 miles from Las Vegas. You will see firing red sand stone formations/rocks/mountains through out the park. You will be extremely impressed by the colorful sand store waves and artistic patterns in the north part of the park, which I have never seen anywhere else. You just can't stop wondering how the mother nature created such majestic beauties! And, of course, you will be frequently greeted by herds of big horn sheeps and mountain goats along the roads and hiking trails.
